📋 Part-1 — Complete Your Profile

1 📖 Lesson 1: Good Shop Photo

The first thing a customer notices is how your shop looks.

  • Take the photo in daylight, standing in front of your shop.
  • Your name board must be clearly visible.
  • Hold your phone horizontally.
  • Avoid photos taken at night or in dim light.

✅ Do it today: Upload 2 new photos: one of the shop front, and one inside showing your products.

Do it now: 📷 Change photos

2 📖 Lesson 2: Write Your Business Description

Three lines are enough: what you sell, where you are, and what makes you special.

❌ "All items available."

✅ "15-year-old grocery shop in Anna Nagar. Rice and dal at wholesale prices. Free home delivery above ₹500."

✅ Do it today: Rewrite your description in this 3-line format.

Do it now: ✏️ Edit description

3 📖 Lesson 3: Check Your Basic Details

A wrong number or wrong timing sends customers away, and they won't come back.

  • Are your WhatsApp and call numbers correct?
  • Have you added opening and closing hours, the Friday Jumu'ah break and your weekly holiday?
  • Is your Google Map pin at the right place?

✅ Do it today: Open your Ummazo page and test the Call, WhatsApp and Map buttons yourself.

Do it now: 🕐 Check hours / number / Map

4 📖 Lesson 4: Add Your Products

Pages with products get more views and more calls.

  • Give each product a clear photo, the correct name and the price.
  • Add the MRP too, so customers can see your discount.
  • Start with your 5 best-selling items.
  • When a price changes, edit it right away.

✅ Do it today: Add your top 5 products with photos, then add 5 new products every week.

Do it now: 📦 Add products

📈 Part-2 — Grow Your Business

5 📖 Lesson 5: Post an Offer

Shops with offers appear in a special block on the Ummazo home page. You can run one offer at a time, for 15 days.

❌ "Big Sale!"

✅ "10% off on purchases above ₹500, for Ummazo customers only"

  • Always honour the offer you post.

✅ Do it today: Post your first offer.

Do it now: 🏷 Post an offer

6 📖 Lesson 6: Share Your Link

Your Ummazo page is your digital shop, so show it to everyone.

  • Post your link on your WhatsApp status once a week.
  • Share it in your customer groups.
  • Put up a QR poster in your shop, and print the link on your bills and visiting cards.

✅ Do it today: Post your link on your WhatsApp status.

Do it now: 📲 Share my page

7 📖 Lesson 7: Read Your Monthly Report

On the 1st of every month, you receive your views, calls and WhatsApp count.

  • High views, few calls: your photos, prices or description need work. Go back to Lessons 1–4.
  • Few views: share your link, add products and post an offer.
  • Many calls, little business: change the way you reply to customers (see Part-3).

✅ Do it today: Open last month's report and find which number is lowest.

Do it now: 📨 My numbers

8 📖 Lesson 8: Invite Others

The more buyers join Ummazo, the more customers come to you.

  • Invite your customers using the "📲 Invite someone as a buyer" button.
  • Ask fellow businesses near you to join too.

✅ Do it today: Send invites to 5 customers and 2 businesses.

Do it now: 📲 Invite someone as a buyer

📞 Part-3 — When a Customer Contacts You

9 📖 Lesson 9: Reply Within 5 Minutes

A customer who WhatsApps you from Ummazo has probably messaged 2–3 other shops at the same time. The first shop to reply usually gets the business.

If you can't reply in full right away, send this:

Assalamu Alaikum. Thank you for contacting us through Ummazo. I will send you full details in 10 minutes.

✅ Do it today: Save this message as a "Quick reply" in WhatsApp Business. Appoint someone in your shop to check WhatsApp when you are away.

10 📖 Lesson 10: Missed a Call? Message Back

Missing a call is normal. Not calling back sends the customer to another shop.

  • As soon as you see a missed call, send a WhatsApp message:

Assalamu Alaikum. Sorry, I couldn't take your call. Please tell me what you need, and I'll help you right away.

  • Or call back within 15 minutes.
  • Set an "Away message" in WhatsApp Business for your busy hours.

✅ Do it today: Reply to every missed call you got today.

11 📖 Lesson 11: Answer Price & Delivery Clearly

A reply like "Come to the shop, we'll talk" pushes customers away. Answer exactly what they asked.

  • Price: give the exact price. If you don't know it, say "I'll tell you in 10 minutes", and then do.
  • Delivery: say clearly whether you deliver, the charge, and when it will arrive.
  • Out of stock: say so honestly ("Not available now, arriving Friday"), or suggest an alternative.
  • Sending a photo of the product helps the customer decide faster.

✅ Do it today: Save your delivery rules (areas, charges, timing) as a Quick reply.

12 📖 Lesson 12: Say Thanks, Invite Back

Bringing back a customer who has bought once is easier than finding a new one.

  • Send a thank-you message on the day of purchase:

JazakAllahu Khairan. Thank you for shopping with us. Please remember us next time too.

  • Save the customer's number, and let them know about new products or offers, but no more than 1–2 times a month.
  • Ask them to share your Ummazo link with their friends.

✅ Do it today: Send a thank-you message to 5 customers who bought from you this week.

🤝 Part-4 — Trust & Honesty

13 📖 Lesson 13: Keep Your Word

Islam holds honest trade in very high regard. A customer who finds your shop on Ummazo comes with trust in our ummah.

  • The price you posted: charge the same price in your shop as on Ummazo. If a price changes, update your page right away.
  • Correct weight and measure: giving less is a serious wrong.
  • Honest description: mention any defect beforehand. Never sell old as new.
  • The time you promised: "Delivery this evening" means this evening. If you'll be late, inform the customer in advance.
  • The offer you posted: never refuse it at the counter.

✅ Do it today: Check that every price on your Ummazo page is today's price.

Do it now: 📦 Check prices

14 📖 Lesson 14: Handle Complaints Calmly

A customer who complains is giving you another chance. One who leaves silently never comes back.

  • Listen fully first. Don't interrupt, argue or get angry.
  • If the mistake is yours, apologise and fix it right away: replace the item or refund the money.
  • If you can't decide immediately, say:

We're sorry for the trouble. We will fix it and get back to you by this evening.

  • After fixing it, ask once: "Is everything fine now?"
  • If a complaint reaches Ummazo, the admin will contact you. Please cooperate. Repeated complaints may lead to your listing being paused.

✅ Do it today: Appoint one person in your shop to handle complaints.
